For 42 years Family of Grace Lutheran Church has been a blessed gathering place to celebrate and share God’s forgiveness and love on Lea Hill.  We are a blended Family of Grace; we have the mercy, love, and forgiveness of a gracious God. This love comes to us through the community that gathers for uplifting worship and the care and feeding of the lost and found.

Pastor, Staff and Council

Mark Johnson
Pastor

I am a second generation, third career pastor, serving God at Family of Grace Lutheran Church in Auburn, Washington.

I grew up in Honolulu and met my wife at Kalani High School. We married after college (PLU and UW) and raised our family on Oahu and Kauai until we answered God’s call to go to seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. We served at Highland Avenue Lutheran Church for 10 years before answering the call to Family of Grace.

We have three adult children, two son-in-laws, a daughter-in-law, and eight grandchildren.

I love to write, play my guitar, fix stuff around the house and go to plays, musicals, movies and concerts with Pam. We enjoy hiking, biking, cooking, and road trips.

God is good, all the time.

Peace,

Pastor Mark
