Last Dawn of Spring 2012

Last week we said goodbye and God speed to Michael and Joshua, Dan buried his mother and my dad scattered mom's ashes. This morning was the last dawn of spring 2012.

We draw lines on calendars and say our goodbyes and all of life seems filled with such lines. Dealing with sorrow and endings is our lifelong work.

And yet...

Next Sunday we will say so good to see you and welcome to  new friends. Six weeks after mom died our first grand daughter Violet refocused our life forward. Tomorrow is the first day of summer.

We draw lines on calendars and look forward with joy to the life God gives which blooms before our eyes. Dealing with new life and new beginnings brings lifelong joy.

Even the ebb and flow of life is good.

The LORD will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time on and forevermore.  [Psalms 121.8]
